Finley Tractor Pull

Very warm and sunny conditions welcomed everyone to the annual Finley tractor pull for 2012. The competitors starting rolling in and setting up for what was to be a great day of pulling. The gates opened at 3pm with the juniors strutting their stuff at the entrance of the complex giving the public a small taste of what they were about to see. The show started at 5pm with the minis kicking things off followed shortly by the big tractors. Both tracks had plenty of moisture which created some very interesting pulling and results for the day.

A few black flags on both tracks meant some drivers were struggling with the track conditions. On the mini track Bonkys Banga dominated taking out 1st place in all 3 classes. There was no stopping Annette from reaching the pointy end of the track. Second and third place for all three events was fought out between Mad Dog,Enforcer and one tractor that has been parked up in the shed for the last couple of seasons Buckenhell, nice comeback boys. In the open minis it was a mixed bag with everyone fairly close in all classes with the top four spots being shared by Flat Broke,New Blood,After Shock,Blown Income and Flamin Furious. It was great to see Nathan Bonk driving well in is first season behind the wheel of After Shock. Shillberite had a clean sweep in the limited modified class closely followed by Flatstick,Hellrazor and Soul Revival. Riverina Screamer had a great day in front of their home crowd narrowly coming out in front of Plum Crazy to take first place in all classes. The 2wd trucks were as always entertaining with Bad Attitude having a clean sweep. A welcome comeback in the Pro Stock was Deere Express looking to give Wicked Whitetail and Major Kaboom some competition. Deere Express ended up 2nd overall for the day with Wicked Whitetail taking out the top spot and Major Kaboom 3rd after putting on a great show and dropping plenty of fluid on the track.

It was another great event put on by the Finley Tractor Pull committee and all should be congratulated on an event that keeps getting better very year. We all look forward to next year. Next event is Barmedman hope to see you all there.
