AUSTRALIAN TRACTOR PULL
CHAMPIONSHIPS
QUAMBATOOK TRACTOR PULL COMPLEX
EASTER SATURDAY
7th. APRIL 2012
This is a Dirt, Dust and Diesel feast in the ultimate test of machine.
Come and witness...
The unmistakable smell of blown alcohol and high octane fuels.
The frightened screams of Chevy Big Blocks bouncing off their limiters and the agony of multiple superchargers ripping every last pony from their blocks.
The unforgettable sights of the massive diesel cloud shooting towards the heavens, the red glow of a V12 engine header on full noise and a rooster tail of dirt spewing from the rear tyres.
For the 36th time, these Powerful Beasts will force themselves onto the quiet Mallee Village of Quambatook, all in one massive high octane explosion, as Tractors and Trucks battle it out in the Australian Tractor Pulling Championships.
The action starts at 1.30pm and the ground won't stop shaking until around 10. This is over 8 hours of adrenaline pumping action.
A tea break in the middle doesn't give the spectators a chance to relax either. Take the time to get up close and personal with the tractors in the pit area or take a stroll through the country market area, offering all manner of food and refreshment stalls, a side show entertainment area offering fun for kids of all ages, or enjoy a joy flight discovering the town and the surrounding district. And don't forget to grab your unique souvenirs from the merchandise stalls.
During the break, hold your breath and watch the high flying antics of Whip Industries. These daredevil riders perform the biggest and most crazy aerial tricks on specially designed ramps using motor cross mini bikes.
The battle is waged in the specially designed arena, with spectators sitting on the grass embankments on either side of Quambatook's famous track. The spectators are up close to the action, but behind secure fencing for safety. So bring a picnic rug or chair and sit in the family friendly alcohol free 'dry' zone or enjoy an ale or two in the designated 'wet' area.
The Vintage Tractors and Farm Machines will get the action underway. Then all the Championship Classes will be on show, as the competitors chase the title. In the Modified Tractor Classes, expect to see the mighty V12's of 'Murray Muncha' and 'Riverina Screamer' taking on the awesome triple Chev Big Block V8's of 'Plum Crazy'. The mini classes will be well represented with the likes of the immaculate 'Blown Income' with its Supercharged Hemi taking on the experienced Chev V8 teams of 'New Blood' and 'Flat Broke'. Don't forget the worked 2WD Trucks and the kids on the Modified Ride On Lawn Mowers. These boys and girls are the champions of tomorrow.
Entry is $60 a family or $25 an Adult and $10 for children under 16. Preschool age admitted free.
So come along and be part of this unique experience, and see if they can make the 100 metres and get the "Full Pull".
For everyones safety and enjoyment, please No BYO, No Glass Containers and No Pets.
